These are the last of the much sought after B model iHas 124 DVD Burners. The new C version that is now on sale at most stores cannot be upgraded to the BurnerMax custom firmware. The price and stock levels can change without prior notice. All drives will be sold on a first come first served basis.
This is the EXACT MODEL and REVISION NUMBER that is required for the BurnerMax firmware upgrade that everyone is asking about. The drives are stock and not upgraded in anyway. You are responsible for any firmware upgrades that you do to the drive. The drive fits into a 5.25 Slot and is SATA and has a BLACK bezel.
It can also be made into an external drive by using an external USB to SATA enclosure kit.
The drive can also burn DVD-R / DVD-RW / DVD+RW / CD-R / CD-RW formats also. The drive can be upgraded using an X360USB PRO or compatible SATA card.

Great drive for burning backups

I had no problem loading needed firmware. Just remember to set correct settings with imgburn, burn at 2.4x and use verbatims and you will not have any problems.

Great. Fast shipping...only problem is it doesn't come with a sata cable, the original box or any papers for it. Only the sata cable really mattered to me. these are the same price on amazon and it comes with all that stuff. not that big of a deal but worth mentioning. Great product though.
Funny note(kinda): I bought a new computer right after purchasing this and when I get this drive It lo9oked exactly like the face of my current one. turns out its an ihas 124b too. so now I have 2 in my computer.

The drive works amazingly,but as one of the reviewers here said, it does not come with a power cable. I already knew that it wouldn't come with one so I ordered a sata power cable from amazon before I ordered this. Works amazingly. I did not flash with Burner max, but rather, used another firmware for my non-high quality discs, and worked like a charm!

ok the drive is great it works like a charm no arguments there, buy this guys if you wanna burn XGD3 to 100% (if your using the best quality disks get the verbs from x-consoles)i get a 100% success burn every time no "coasters" yet.. but this is misleading you should add that this kit does NOT come with a SATA cable which isn't a big deal; you guys should put that in the description. It also does not come with any driver disks, but that's an easy fix you can find them online easy/ windows will recognize the DVD drive and install it automatically just go online for the newest drivers before flashing to burnerMAX. other then that this is a great buy and an even greater price thank you xconsoles + quick shipping too :D
